7,500 gallon dip tank installation January 11th 2006 by Kern County Fire
Department.
This tank was installed at 5,090' elevation, N35° 03' 19.88" W118°
22' 49.74" on the East ridge of the Tehachapi valley to further expand
the wildland suppression capabilities of the Heli-attack division.
The Greater Tehachapi Fire Safe Council and all the residents of The Old
West Ranch would like to extend a very sincere THANK YOU! to Shane Reed
- Crew boss Helicopter 408, Bob Baker - Fire heavy equipment operator,
and the Kern County Fire Department administration for all the planing
and logistics required to make this possible.
Click here for pictures and video of the tank in use on the "White"
